Breweries in Austin

Need a list of good breweries to hit while I'm down for the race in 2 weeks.

Jester King is outside if Austin, but well worth it if you like good barrel aged/farmhouse beers.

I'm surprised Black Star Co-op is not on the list.

So you guys are into sour beers?! I tried it several times but they just couldn't get my love.
I'm also moving away from IPA's now that they've had their time in the sun. Where do I go from here?

Sours are great. Wicked Weed here in NC does some of the best I've had.

Well we are heading towards the fall so it high time to throw back some Marzens.

Bitter hoppy beers seem to the in thing from what I've been reading.
I can't do hops. Just can't. No bitter beer.
I'm true to my stouts and porters. Oat beers are my favorites.

If you get a chance, try Lagunitas Equinox, it's a Pale Oat Ale, a little hoppy, but outstanding. It's a seasonal, so ymmv.

The annual craft beer festival is in a little over two weeks, so may be an option. All the local breweries in one spot! I think it's on the 19th. There is no shortage of good beer here, just make sure you find some bbq or tacos to go with it.

Torchy's Tacos. The CEO lived next door to me for several years. Won lots of awards.

Freebird's Burritos.

Rudy's BBQ or Franklin's. Thing about Franklin's, they do a limited amount, people line up starting about 6AM, and sells out by noon.

So many local food places to name.

Met my friend and her boyfriend at Rogness Friday night. To say not impressed would be an understatement. Tree beers all bad.
