Talking Brandon Tinders Across America aka. MURICAH and a little bit of CANADUH

Prologue:
Two Years ago I bought Yee Ol “Poo Brown 90”… Fast forward a year and the truck had a complete ground up FRAME ON restoration. Wanted to really daily drive a TDI 90 so moved up to Vermont for work and Six Months Poo Brown got its 3rd TDI with the help of cdansan. After a year of "working" in the Green Mountain State, wheeling and camping with cdansan and Z.G. and the whole New England crew. It is time for the next adventure.

Please see photo below of a typical daily wrenching session

The Next Adventure:
ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!!! In a little less than one month’s time, I found a truck, respectfully left my job, relocated my life, and “planned” a trip.
Trading in the Coiler TDI for some high tech leafs and 2+1/4 power.
Picking up a new to me SIII Lightweight…. Where?
Calgary, CAN
Since I am selectively unemployed why not make the return trip 7000 Miles in a vehicle I am picking up sight unseen. Put a lot of trust in a fellow D90 member RED90 but pulled the trigger and made it happen. The flaming white chariot awaits in Alberta the Wild West of Canada.

T-MINUS 12hrs till departure. CAN’T WAIT………

This will be epic. Are you going to bring at least one shirt on this trip?

Awesome can't wait! Bringing any spares on the plane? Try not to pass through TSA wearing anything that's been doused in diesel.

The plan

So here is the rough plan. Dates are tentative as who know what the truck will be able to handle, but time will tell.

I see that Brandon is on par to head up the "favorite thread of 2015" with this one! Will be following this thread, and looking forward to the subsequent shirtless shenanigans to come.

Or 90W. I gave Brandon an SDO shirt (the "desert tan" as it was as close to flesh-colored as possible, so even when he was wearing a shirt it sort of looked like he wasn't). Within hours he had accidentally emptied an entire diff full of 90W on it/him. As I say to my 5-year old...."this is why we can't have nice things" .

Well that stained skin tone SDO shirt is packed as part of my set of wrenching clothes.
