Brain surgery number 3 here we come!

All-
Thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated as my 10 month old son Elliot is going in for his 3rd brain surgery tomorrow 12.7.2011 (Pearl Harbor Day!). He is going to have total reconstructive skull surgery, so they are basically taking off the top park of his head, rebuilding it (with hardened exhaust valves and seats of course) and putting it back on. It is expected to be a 12 hour surgery at Children's Hospital in Denver and we are pretty scared but looking at all of the positives, in which there are many. There is a long story behind it (see http://www.elliotcarnsstraw.blogspot.com/ for more in depth info). Thanks in advance for all of the kind thoughts and prayers.
Cheers,
Byron

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. My kids have been in and out of the hospital since they were born (they were 29 week preemies) and have been through much of the same stuff you have been through right from their NICU days.

Stay strong brother.

Byron:

We'll definitely keep you in our thoughts and prayers on this end...recently having become a dad myself about 23 months ago, it certainly changes your perspective on things. It takes a brave man to be there and help your son go through these surgeries, and your support of both Elliot and your wife will help your family to all get through this difficult time.

It may go without saying, but if there's anything any of us can do for you during this please feel free to reach out.

You are in our thoughts and prayers. I hope that all goes well. Judging from past events on the D-90 source, if there is anything that we can do to help, the generosity and compassion of the members here will be seen once again.

You must be a strong individual to deal with this stuff (and have a sense of humor at the same time).
Two years ago, we spent an extended period at Childrens Hospital for two months around Christmas w/ my at the time 3-year old, so it's tough, I know.

Children's Hospitals (whether Denver or Boston) attract the world's best docs, and I'm sure you're in great hands. Will definately be think of you guys tomorrow and hope for a full and speedy recovery.

I pray now that the Lord would give little Elliot strength, his parents calmness and peace, and all those that touch him today a steady hand and a clear mind.

Gods Blessings,

Michael
