What is the fast/convenient way to go to Amtrak Boston North Station Maine Service, MA from Boston Logan airport - by subway/train or taxi? Thank you.

Not easy by public transport. Take bus from terminal to the T's blue line change at government center to the green line to North station. Just enough to be a pain in the neck.
Cab probably best especially in bad weather.

Actually the Blue Line goes right to the Airport. Walk to Aquarium to hop on it, or you can take the Green or Orange Lines a few stops where they connect with the Blue Line. Easy peasy, but taxi is quicker.

I have to do this tomorrow morning myself,as everyone is out of town and I don;t want to leave my SW at the airport for two weeks.

The water tax is cool, but you still have to get from N Station to the waterfront............I usually take the ferry from Quincy as it takes you right to the airport, but they stopped running on weekends. I ended up taking the bro's car to the airport as he is flying in from Mexico tonight...how convenient. ;-).
