BMW fan please help me out

Is a 2007 BMW 3 series wagon an E90?

Trying to order some stuff for the wife's new car and I'm not up on BMW lingo yet.

As I understand it, the current 3-series platform is the e90, the wagon is called e91, the coupe e92, and the cabriolet is e93. I think they started these sub-numbers from the main platform number with the current generation. Since my most recent car is an e34, I certainly don't claim expertise in these matters.

Despite owning one I'm no expert either but the 3 series since 2005 is e90. I'm guessing people use e90 loosely for the 3 series, but e91 would be the wagon if you need a wagon specific part.

Thanks guys!

The wife wants "angle eyes" and HIDs in the car and it didn't come with them, so I waded through 1000 pages of ebay crap to find stuff that will actually work...
I told her I'd mount 4 Hella 4000s on the roof, but it didn't fly.

That is a hot look. Your wife has good taste. Did you do the 335?

I think it is a 328 because it is the all wheel drive wagon.
She wants it to look like this... (image)

She had an Audi S6 (4.2 V8 with a factory wide body), so she won't be happy with a "stock" BMW, but luckily I have no problem hot rodding the family truckster.

I dont know why wagons get so little love. M-wagons would be cool. I think audi once had a wagon with a V8 that was pretty hot. Sedans are so useless.

Yes, they did. They came to the US for just a few years and that was my wife's previous ride, a 2003 Audi S6.
4.2 V8 with 340 hp, etc. Image fo her car attached.
Had fun beating a buddy that has an older Ferrari Testarossa with that wagon one weekend. He was pissed!!

M wagons exist in Europe, but you can't get them here. If I had all the money and could do it I would want the current Audi RS6 wagon. V10, turbo, something like 510 hp!!!
MB makes an AMG wagon too.

Search you tube for the Top Gear shoot out between the 2 wagons... awesome if you are a wagon freak like me.

Audi had the RS4 Avant twin-turbo v6 wagon a few years back, it was replaced with a v8 normally aspirated version. There is a current-version BMW M5 wagon, but the last one was the e34 M5 Touring from 1991-95. My goal in life is to find a 1995 Avus Blue M5 Touring.

First I have to sell this Euro-spec 1995 540 Touring...

Any takers?

Its an auto, but its a great candidate for the 6-speed conversion from Koala Motorsports.

But its the only e34 540 wagon in the states

I'm looking for 7500-ish, would really like it to go to someone who will appreciate it.

Well, that will probably be a deal breaker. He has been telling me for years that he wants a 540 touring with a manual trans. He really doesn't like anything that isn't original though, so although he could certainly handle the conversion (he is a BMW tech) I don't think he would want to do it. I will pass on the info though when I see him next.
