Blue Angels 12-13-13 NYC

Did anybody in the NYC area see the Blue Angels today?

They buzzed our building really F-N low, to the point that the windows and door rattled. Very Cool.

We used to see them @ the Naval Academy Graduation every year. The do the show over the water so the water is covered with boats for the best view. Have had them 50 ft over the boat-close enough to feel the afterburner heat on the stunts they do with it lit. I took Galpin one year.
Due to the economy the Blue Angels only perform when someone other than the dept of Navy pays for it apparently. They no longer do a graduation show @ the Naval Academy

I love watching the Blue Angels shows.

My grandparents took me to see 'em at Jax back in the early 70's when they flew Phantoms.

Saw them most recently at Oceana in '06, '07, '08, '10.

Always fun.

When I was working in Beaufort, SC the Blue Angels arrived the day before their show and practiced for about an hour or two... I had no clue they were there, and found out as I was walking out of Wal Mart... they come over the parking lot in full formation no more than 200 feet altitude. Scared the crap of me, but it was unforgettable.

A couple of years later, one of the pilots got a little too low and scattered himself and his F18 into a subdivision in Beaufort. Horrible tragedy, but an awesome way to go in my opinion.

I try to attend the MCAS air show when they have it every other year. Unfortunately, it was cancelled this year due to Obama's economy.

They did a photo shoot at our office today. Didn't open your link but they had 6 planes in formation I believe, inside one was the photographer.

Blues at Oceana

They're actually pretty cool guys. They liked our C-130 aerial demo at the Oceana airshow a couple years ago so much that they asked to take a picture with us during the Performers' Social!

…But WE definitely had to ask Deltalina to take a picture with us! They brought in the Susan G. Komen 757.
