There were chains on the gates a couple weeks ago. A former tech there is a member of this forum and has been giving me the blow by blow.

I don't believe JE engineering and BLR are the same entity.

Aaaahhhhh....how I've missed the Kieron banter . Why hasn't he come back to defend his employer again? (joking)

PS - is it now ok to think he is a bit of a dick?

I find myself in the apparently unenviable position of having paid money to BLR just before they shuttered themselves again recently. I didn't know the history, or I wouldn't have had any dealings with them at all. I even met Mr. Mogford himself when we were in country visiting.

Does anyone have any leads or suggestions in how to go about getting whatever I can back from them?

Thank you in advance.

Ed

If you paid with a credit card or Paypal contact them. If you paid any other way you are pretty much out of luck. Sucks to be stuck in the middle of something like this.

I paid through wire transfer, which may mean my bank will be able to help out at least. Fingers crossed. Other than the one being extended I mean.

To my knowledge they had never closed before. They have been taking deposits from US citizens and not building them cars for quite some time however. I do not think you have any chance of recovering anything. There were many who were pursuing legal remedies against them and presumably this is why they closed. Mogford learned nothing from his time in prison here.

Hopefully you get your money back. Did you not google them before you sent money?

IME your bank won't be able to pull an international wire back.
