For those of you running black wheels, what are you doing for black lug nuts? It's beyond me that the only lugs that fit my D90 are the capped, non capped, or steel LR lugs, meaning I have to either run those unpainted or try and put paint on something that likely won't stay. Seems there are aftermarket black lugs for thousands of cars, but not LR Defender. In my opinion non painted lugs just don't look complete. My thoughts are, to plasti dip my lugs once mounted, but understanding that if I go to remove the lug, the plasti will come off. Any other suggestions? If you don't like black wheels or the look, take a pass on opinion, its not for everyone.

I've seen photos of alloy wheel nuts in black but was unable to find them and gave up. I would check ebay uk

I gave up too and went stainless one piece lugs (No caps). There was a thread on them but I can't remember which. I think I'd still prefer the black lugs but the stainless looks nice too.

I would bet there are black lugs available in the UK to match those fancy Sawtooth alloys.

Good idea, but I can't locate 20 decent RRC lugs. Should have kept the ones off the one I sold.

I bought some on eBay UK, but I live here though. If I remember, they were 8 pounds for 20. I couldn't find the open end ones that I bought, but I think this might be what your looking for:

16 * 12x1.5mm 12x1.5 Black Alloy Steel Wheel Lug Nuts 60 Degree Tapered Bolts | eBay

Cheers,

Eric

Eric-I am not sure those fit a NAS Defender 90, but if they do, I would be interested. Anyway to find out? If you could find me a set of 20 in black that would fit a NAS D90 I would gladly pay for them and your trouble.

Does anyone on here know if these are compatible to NAS D90 lugs?

Not the right size or type. Defenders are 16 mm and the alloy wheels need a different style.

That was my original plan, then I couldn't find a decent set of those solid ones to PC. My wheels are supposed to be ready next week from PC shop. If anyone has 20 solid lugs, I am still interested.

I paid about $55-60 shipped for mine. I've not really seen any of the solid ones rounded off so I'm surprised you've had issues finding any. That's usually a capped lug nut issue, although of course it all depends on who's been handling them.

Found 20 solid lugs locally for $40. Going to clean them up and prep for paint before my wheels come back from PC. Any recommendations on flat black rattle can that holds up reasonably well?
