Thanks for the pics. I always thought the undermount winch was separate from the bumper.

Ron

Thoughts? Don't you have a kitchen full of these?

The factory under-bumper mount.

Thats what mine looked like even though mine was the Rovers North one. If you look at the first pic it looks like a factory mount.

BTW I like the yellow with white steel wheels in the background

It was free.
The shop truck lives on "take offs" so it gets what it gets.

Fair enough. Hey that ARB is a collectible now. ARB claims they will only be making that new vile one from now on.

I have what I believe to be a factory under bumper mount, but it is not bolted or welded to the bumper. It is simply a tray. Pretty sure it is factory given the shape it and the winch was in on my first 90 when I purchased it. Is the difference in these related to LR just monkeying with different ways of piecing it together? Seems my 90 was a later model 94 with no side mounted roll bar supports above the wheel arches. So, wondering if in later days the under bumper mounted winch just became less and less complex (meaning not attached to the bumper with welds or bolts????

In all actuality I probably don't care about the answer, but just another one of those "features" that make them so interesting.

I think the two piece one is correct. Not sure why this one is welded.

Who said I want a winch. I hoard parts. I have more carpet than you could imagine. All shag.

I don't know about that. I have plenty of surplus.

I might have to carpet my wheel wells.
