I think you're on to something! A good ole Smithfield honey baked ham wrapped in an American Flag, with a bottle of Kentucky whisky beside it, all layed in a closed casket.

Now deep down you know it was both. Deep down you know that tier one assets are mongrels.

It's good to see our current president was able to finish what Bush couldn't or possibly didn't want to finish.

Finish? One HVT was captured/killed...thats about all that was finished.

To think that this event is an end point is not realistic.

You must be kidding about bush not wanting to do this. It would have been the ultimate point in his war on terror. It would have given people something good to remember as to why he started all this.

Don't kid yourself, Obama is a wimp with foreign policy and if this wasn't already rolling he would never have gotten him.

Well I guess you could say he is doing an excellent job in libya.

I correct myself, the word should be accomplish rather than finish, the threat of terror will last a very long time.

Are you trying to say that when a mission is accomplished it's not necessarily finished?

Well, it helps to know what the mission is before you go and declare it accomplished. I think most people can't formulate their own ideas and instead just regurgitate what they hear someone say on the television. I don't know how much focus Bush put on nailing OBL after some time. And if it was less or more than Obama who really gives a fuck, Bush had plenty on his plate with the heatiing up of Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts and the myriad day to day details of those engagements. Among others. He even said himself that it was not his top priority and that was a useful tactic to take away some of OBL's mystique and symbolism as an ideological figurehead. But apparently the leads used to track OBL to his compound first emerged before 9/11, were further confirmed under standard (not waterboarding) interrogation of Khalid Sheik Mohammed and finally bore fruit when the dopey courier called someone whose phone was tapped. So, really these developments occured absent of much presidential influence, from the very beginning. Though, some credit must be given to the CinC whether or not you like it. At the same time I don't thinkk it is really useful or appropriate to use this event as a platform to attack any former president for what they did or didn't do. Not that I am a fan of Bush. The whole "Mission Accomplished" thing was laughable. but that has very little do with this situation except for the date which I believe is May 1st for both events. Fact, Osama is gone, that is a good thing, yes there will be attempts at retaliation, but that is hardly a good rationale for leaving him alone. If AQ really had the ability to strike hard and often at us than we would have been seeing that already.

You can sort of see the sniper about 100 feet from my window (in my previous post) in the second and third pic right at the corner of that building. I counted about 10 others though just from my vantage point! My gf also sent these from her office when he arrived about 20 minutes ago!

She said there were gun boats out on the water and so many military helicopters hovering overhead.

They are not snipers if you can see them. Those are just the ones they wanted you to see.
