Lrna 1?

I came across an interesting video that I found on eBay. The video Cross Country Spring 1992 is a video news magazine from LR North America. Apparently LR sent these videos to their dealers and various car news media to report on LR industry news for North America. The video I bought is for spring 1992, and is about the introduction of the Defender to NA and the announcement of LRNA (Land Rover North America) from Range Rover of NA. The guy I bought it from was a publisher/editor of a British Car Magazine. Included in the video case is a signed letter from the Vice President of Range Rover of North America (soon to be LRNA) Bill Baker.
Now the interesting part...
The video starts off with the first unavailing of the Defender 110 (the prototype NAS D110) at the Detroit Auto Show 1992. They explain how this is a prototype Defender of which there will be only 500 copies of. This prototype NAS D110 looks just like ours, but has euro round rear lights (not NAS '95/'97), the wrap around brush bar is different as seen in the famous D110 magazine ad, and the steering wheel is different than the 1/500 series (LRNA # D110s were different). And just like the 1/500 series D110s, the pop-rivets ahead of the rear wheels are not painted, the screws on the hood are not painted, the hinge screws for the rear door are not painted, but unlike the NAS D90s the other four door hinge screws are painted. I could not get a good look at the number plate as this is a VHS.
The video also includes a TV commercial for the Defender 110! I never remembered seeing that commercial in '92.

Confirmed Jan Riss's D110 is #123/500, all stock and in fair condition.
She lives a few blocks away from me and I saw her D110 at the gas station today.
Riss lives in Mission Hills KS, Jim please add this one to the list.
Thanks...

Im sure its on here already since it had a Copley license plate frame but just saw #175/500 at Four Oaks Garage in Santa Monica today. Only has 11,000 miles! There to be converted to an auto. As much as I liked my auto conversion i wonder what it does to resale value for a truck that pristine and original.

other people lift and abuse there trucks off-road. these people are making it easier to drive and are not going to abuse it.

why do people always add stupid input to what others do to their trucks?

Why is that stupid input? It was just a question as to what effect a conversion would have on the resale value of a truck with such low miles.

Hey I said just an opinion. I only said it because it is such an original low mileage example. They are few and far between. For the money I am sure it sold for the owner could have built what they wanted and left this one as is. Again only an opinion. Its not my truck or money so if they want to paint a gator on it go for it.

Thats why I bought it. Wanted something my wife could drive comfortably in traffic. At least that was the sales pitch to her

List correction: #133 is Michael Hall's not #134...
He came over to my house today so he could check out my restored NAS D110, and so I could check out his new 4.6 he just installed. I drove it and must say that these 110s are best with a 4.6!!!!!!!!!

246/500 has been rescued and is now in Idaho awaiting a full restoration. The basket is missing and it is rusty as hell with a nice paint job over the rust and linex all over the interior... It's gonna be fun to get apart.

Ahhhh the fun of a restoration.

Feed me some info and I'll update it! Cruising the internet looking for NAS110 intel has taken in a backseat to cruising Kabul.
