Their stuff is expensive. I've been to the store in Manhattan and is typical with real cool shit you don't need because you live in Manhattan and are a banker but pretend to be adventurous.

Their axes are nice but are made by Council with a different handle

Don't discount them so quick. Sure, a little hipster but they have a pretty cool set up and have a pretty limited selection of stuff because of how the source things. They are big on Made in the USA. This company came on my radar when my Teams were searching for Made in the US Axe's with some very specific specs. In my back yard here in Maine snow and Nealley make a special head and handle solely for Best Made that met our needs. And snow Nealley have been churning out some of the best Axe's for a gazillion years. I often pick it up before any of my Granfors honestly... Agree with this. Also, The head is forged specifically for BMC in addition to a different handle. But it's Snow and Nealley not Council. And then of course, there is the paint lol
