Best compliment your truck ever got?

A guy jumped out of his black pimped out 4 door jeep and told me my truck looked liked a set of "Rolling Brass knuckles"
I got a chuckle out of that, especially from a jeep guy.
Crazy ass dog hanging out the window probably didn't hurt.

I had a guy in a black 4 door jeep that had around 8 jerry cans, a hi-lift jack, jacked up lift, etc. give me the thumbs up and scream "HELL YEAH" out his window yesterday afternoon. I was in the LE. It's completely stock and not bad ass at all. Silly Jeep people

"Duuuuude, noice Jeep!"

Seriously, I was in the local 4X4 Parts and Accessories store when a Landcruiser that was flying thru the parking lot come to a screeching halt. A guy in a Domino's Pizza shirt and hat ran into the store and shouted "who owns the 110 out front?" I was at the check-out and slowly raised my hand and the fellow shot me a thumbs-up and said "duuuude, badass truck!" then he was gone as quickly as he appeared.

My wife calls my truck a guy magnet and won't drive it.

Recently an old homeless guy murmured while walking by....now that's a man's truck! (no comment's jeffb, lav, pedro, or any of you other lackeys...) lol...

I pull up in front of a store, a guy is outside smoking, he looks at it, then looks at one side then looks at the other side and then said, "Ok, I like it, but what the hell is it"
Another time I'm walking back to the Rover, two guys from the islands are standing about ten feet away. One of them is crying like a little baby, he see me and begins to tell stories about his father and when he was a kid and all of the good times they had in his dads Rover, sad and funny all at the same time. He asked if he could take a picture of it, I said sure and then let him drive it, I don't think he has stopped smiling yet, that was a good day.

At the gas station fueling up and a Hatian guy in a P38 pulls up and comes over hugs me, tears in his eyes and goes on about the missionaries who would visit his village in Rovers because nothing else would make it there. He was so excited I only understood about 1/3 of what he said but it was so cool.

While enroute Meadville Pa. last year in the 110 and stopped for lunch at a Dairy Queen just off the Pa Pike. As we where getting out and stretching, three guys across the street in a Trooper where on their knees yelling "we are not worthy....nice ride dude!". Later that evening, we scored free dinner at the Outback in Erie when the manager asked me to park the truck in front of the place, and let the staff pose for pictures with it.

"That thing is freakin' awesome!"

And as a close second (from someone who apparently knew his stuff)

"Cool Landy, bro".

"Nice defender man, I've wanted one ever since I was in high school in '94 when they first came out. I still can't afford one, so I just got this jeep instead" (points to his lifted TJ).

Other than Rednecks, I got the most compliments from middle aged African American females when I lived in Georgia, seriously. And no, Im not African-American.

Never could explain that one...

Whatever the comment is, usually a "what year is it?" is part of it. Typically the nice banter is at the smaller gas stations (Leesburg for my example). Then complete opposite at the large stations like Dulles Airport where everyone looks annoyed at you. Demographics at play.
