If you can't find what you want stateside, whynot get an ExMoD 90 or 110 bring it over and have one of the very capable mechanics found here on this very forum build it to your specs. You will then have exactly what you want for less money and hassel than buying a question mark overseas and having to deal with customs then (assuming it doesen't get seized at the port) having to fix shoddy workmanship and hidden issues? Try posting in the WTB section exactly what you want and see if any members have it. You might be suprised.

I would advise extreme caution in dealing with BLR. I took a P38 in with an issue where the power was not being delivered to the ground. BLR diagnosed replacing front diff and bearings but it turned out to be that the Borg Warner Transfer Box needed replacing. Having admitted their fault I agreed to pay for diff and bearings and just the parts costs of the Borg Warner. in fact I subsequently was charged the whole cost of the parts and labour (based on a subsequent quote from an outfit in Luton) although it was invoiced as just parts. They forgot to fit a seat button I had paid for. 11,000 miles later the bearings failed an MOT. I called LR in Solihull and they had never heard of genuine bearings failing after just 11,000 miles which lead me to believe that these bearing fitted were not genuine parts. BLR agreed to replace the bearings free of charge but when I got the car back I found that the trim in the passenger foot well had been removed and damaged and cobbled back together - why did this need to be removed when the bearings were being replaced? It would take another essay to explain the hassle and fiasco I had with promised completion dates that were then not met. The chairman of BLR is a one Charles Henry Mogford who has done time in a US prison for fraud relating to the sales of boats (http://docs.justia.com/cases/federal...pdf?1301260840) (http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/199...boating-center) but now has seven directorships and a similar number of register URLs on the Internet.

Well excuse us

Also, with all due respect (as you seem to be a knowledgeable individual when it comes to importing) the truck you have listed was rejected by customs because of an engine swap. riverhouse even detailed it on their thread. He's lucky they didn't crush it.

Additionally I bought my defender, sight unseen, by calling a gentleman who had listed it on gumtree.com. I then arranged delivery with a RORO outfit in Northern Ireland and secured entry with a freight forwarder. Registered it, insured it, titled it, all myself. There is always more than one way to skin a cat and there will always be scams. I wouldn't recommend my method to a novice but I had moved hazardous chemicals internationally before attempting my move, and it worked out...

yes I am aware of this. BUT in that the vin number on frame matched the vin number on the brake booster. was given the option by CBP to just be sent back.. you can also just pay fine.. called mitigated forfeiture . usually about 25% of value of the car or truck and keep in the USA.. and or send to foreign trade zone.. take engine tranny out along with winder glass, brake hoses ,brake container, headlights. seatbelts and import at motor vehicle parts. Box 2A on DOT. ( HS7) Box W on EPA 3501.. no engine tranny. the Jap trucks were done this way for YEARS to avoid the 25% import tax on trucks.. later bc

I don't have any idea what the hell this is all about, but I do recognize that house in the background of that picture. That's the Webbley in Shelby, NC right down the street from where I grew up.

It occurs to me that if you are holding yourself out as better than BLR, that's a pretty low bar you are setting for yourself in this board. They are well known here in a bad way.

It's clear you want to establish yourself as the importer for Riverhouse.

So instead of leeching off old threads suggest you contact the admins, set yourself up as a Vendor and post accordingly in the right spot.
