I think they still make Molson XXX, but I can't think of anyone who drinks it. There are soo many micro brewery's around that I'm always trying something new. In Whistler you can get almost anything so it's just a matter of picking your flavour for the night.

One of the cool things about living in a massive ski resort.

Man, there is a Micro-brew in town that has some killer stuff. It's called Smoke'in Scottish Ale, and it won some HUGE award in CO this year. The stuff is awesome! It's a darker Ale, not too bitter, and a nice aroma. I'm no beer expert, but I now what taste good. Other than that, I like Bass and Negra Modelo....Only if I'm out of home-made Belgium Ale, which is awesome by the way! My beer partner, Jeff Bang and I, made up a batch or Belgium Ale for MAR, 15 Gallons in fact, we brought back maybe a gallon. Anyway, if anyone is ever in or near Harrisonburg, VA, Calhouns' is worth a trip to for a beer.

From a boy from the "Micro brew capitol of the world" I had some Scottish Smok'in Ale at one of the last brew fest thingy's (yes I do actually get away from work once in a while) Anyway I was glad Karen (the Wife) was there to drive home!

Good Stuff!!!!

If this is what you guys do at the MAR for fun at night... Well maybe if I'm campin'

The brew-master is Eric Plowman. Eric is my wifes' "bosses" husband. Eric seems to be a nice guy and make a hell of a beer.

I'm more of a fan of the Porter myself

If you do get to Calhoun's buy a growler and take some home, it's definately worth it.

If your ever in Richmond, Legend Porter rules. They also have their Chocolate Stout on tap at the moment too.

Capital Ale House is the place to go. Fine cask conditioned ales.

Hey Tyler, love St. George products. Tell your friend great job. A friend of mine who owns a restaurant can't keep it on tap long enough.

Been to Calhouns. Great place and great ales.

the end of the world...

hate to jump in on this so late... I've been indisposed installing tile & hardwood flooring in my house to save some money...what fun...
anyway...

I usually stick to:
ABITA PURPLE HAZE
WHITE MOON
or the usual...
Heineken.

But I'm in the 'Beer of the Month Club', which sends me a 12 pack of 4 different beers each month and this month they sent this one from Canada called 'La Fin Du Monde' which is 9% alcohol and it kicks... The name translates to 'the end of the world'... which probably after about 8 of these is what the world will feel like.

Just my penny.

If you make it to Seattle (Ballard to be exact), give Hales Brewery a try. I'm not sure about their beers (I'm a Guinness drinker) but their Angus Burgers are worth the drive.
