Why do I see so many people running these things backwards?

THey bring their car in to have the tires rotated and don't relize the tires are directional,,,,,,, I don't know just a guess maybe they work better? I met someone who ran boggers backwards so they could get out of mud holes they drove into or something silly like that.

I have heard that you can run them differently depending on what type of terrain you are driving on.... I think you turn them backwards for rock crawling.
