Keep on keeping on. I haven't ordered anything from him in a couple of years but I always got my stuff "promptly" compared to the amount of time I'm seeing these days. Honestly people keep ordering from him even though these stories keep coming out - because they want the best - and seem to be willing to wait for the best. There will likely come a time when the wait for getting the best doesn't outweigh the value people place on having the best, and orders may decrease, but until that time it looks like people are going to wait quite a while until he catches up. As you saw just a few posts ago Quimbola waited a long time, was frustrated the entire time, his top arrived and he was elated with the product's quality.

I spoke with Chris a week ago he is extremely busy and told me any new order will be at least 9 months. Chris is like me and wants his hands on every product that he produces so it meets his standards which in turn slows down production but increases quality. .....my .02 its worth the wait for a product that will last anything out there

Have you read the rest of the thread?? From what I read it will be 18 months from the order. Nothing you will do will fix that. Bugging him only slows down the process even more.....

As to the others waiting. You will get your top, it will take awhile. Chris is a good guy and makes excellent tops. As said above, he is basically a one guy shop, so it takes time.

All of this is easier for me to say as I have my top now.

I am sure the one thing that everybody can say is that Chris has never screwed anybody out of a top. Some just take longer than others.

If that is the case he just needs to communicate that or not give false hope. He called me in April, I almost dropped the phone I was so shocked. He promised my top in 3 weeks from that phone call. . . .still waiting. I want a quality top but I am not in the habit of giving away $3000 without any recourse. Everyone says it will come but I can't help but feel like I have been ripped off. At this point I am willing to order the top from Rover North and call it a day. I am tired of getting trapped in rainstorms with holes in my top. I think that I will start with my credit card company to see if I can at least dispute the charges. We will see. . . .

You could always just sell your allocation and position in the queue on to someone else - that's how Quimbola got his.

When I bought my top I was told there was a top in stock, when I called Chris, that top had just been sent out, I was next in line for 500 days after that.

That is obscured. Do you really think that contract and/or spot is transferable?
