Yeah, that is a great find.

It's from the Great Cars series on PBS. If you want to see it in better quality and not all chopped up, you can buy it on DVD here (along with a lot of others on various historial makes).

I like the Defender commerical shot at the damn. Although I think it illustrates the winch capabilities (that's the longest winch line I've ever seen) more than the D90.

Seems to me that was back before the day that computer animation was accessible enough to justify making an add like that any other way than actually winching it up the dam

I think advertising standards insisted that it had to be possible to winch the 90 up the dam in Wales.
There was an article in one of the Landrover Mags about it a while back - Land Rover World I think
