Bad Ass Rig thread

Just stumbled across this sweet looking rig. Anyone know who it belongs to? Love to see more pics of hybrids and highly modded rigs

There is a thread called 'Kick Ass Argentina Custom Bumper!' Forumrunner won't let me link to it. The guy is a member of PCRC. Amazing rig up close and an amazing history.

I agree, what a great beast. How many 107s do you see, let alone one that is well-used like that one? Wonder what's under the hood...

I don't know, I think it's kind of cool, but also don't really think I like it.

There's a long story behind that truck. Something about Scouts using it to travel up and down North and South America. It's had a hard life. I seem to recall it was rusting away and was actually rescued.

Not true. Erich didn't make it this way. Argentinian boy scouts owned it. The hand painted map on the drivers door shows all the places it's been. It was found abandoned in Alaska and nurtured back to health from there. Restoring it back to stock wouldn't be right because its part of it's history and what makes it unique.

Great backstory on that truck. I wonder how they got a title on it after finding it abandoned?

Some states dont require a title on vehicles over a certain age. You wouldnt need a title in Maine to get it registered.

Can we stop with talking about other people's bad ass rigs and start building that 130? Ron has a bay at his shop opening up in a month's time - time for you to shit or get off the pot.

Or you can man up and get the LM002.

yeh i know, came to the party late when efi and coil spring were cheap. In the UK anything before 72 are road tax exempt. but 200 a years not enough to get me in one.

But fair play to the owner for keeping it on the road.

Just not my bag

Not only is it on the road. It's a daily driver.
