Mid Atlantic snow storm and the roads are crappy so I'm driving her to work this morning.

She nonchalantly looks at me and says, "Jesse, it's snowing in here."
It was like she was saying, I don't mind that it's snowing on the inside of your truck, but I thought you might want to know.

LOL, I like that! What was your response? Something like "hmm, I didn't notice with all the noise and the draft"

Well first I said, "What?"
But she wasn't really looking for a response, just wanted to let me know. It's hillarious (At least to me) because when I first got the truck the first thing we put in it was a set of raingear for each of us. In the beginning she was saying, "It's raining, quick pull over let's get the top on." 2 months after that it's become, "It's raining, here's your raincoat." And she bet me I couldn't keep just the surrey on it till November.

I won.

I realize I keep coming back to the subject, but tonight she looks at me and says, "I just want you to know, that it is my goal to make the Defender my daily driver by the end of the summer. But we must get a new top before the winter."

Good thing she's selling her car! We've always talked about owning his and hers Defenders (a man can dream...) and she's always needed a '97 for the auto tranny, but now everywhere we go she wants to drive home. I guess there goes getting a SW with auto. But I may be putting that diesel in quicker than I thought. Woo Hoo!

Does that mean you now have an awesome fiance` as well, or are you just "bragging" for now?

Either way, that's cool. My fiance` and I started hanging out together when she'd go wheeling with me. I learned she was a good addition when everytime I went without her as a spotter I ended up with new dents in the truck.

So I brought her over to the "Dark Side".

Her quote exactly was, "So, when you get new tires can I have yours?"

I'll post pics of HER (new to her) D2 when I get a chance...

2 rovers in the driveway kicks ass

This is funny. My S.O. is a big Saab fan. However recently, she's started asking pointed questions such as:

"Does a stock D-90 not come with the lift and tall tires?"

"If not, would it be a little easier for me to get in on a daily basis in stock form?"

"Would you get confused if we owned 2 D-90's?"

And it all started a few months after I let her drive for the 1st time.

So it finally happened and I now have an Awesome Wife.

We honeymooned in St. Lucia and were checking out all the sites there in the cab on the way to the resort when we pass a 110. She whips out the camera to try and take a pic, no luck. We subsequently pass a IIA and 2 more 110s, we have pictures of the tail lights of them.
We get to the resort, see there is a "Jeep" tour of the rainforest and the guy says, "Yeah, all our Jeeps look like this. Would you like open or closed top with AC?" She looks at it, looks at me, and says, "It's a 110, we'll take an open top." Long story short, we get rain one day, they cancel the tour (something about flooding and landslides, I call them pansies) and we go to the market and she asks the cab driver to stop in the middle of the street so we can get one good pic of a 110P.U. on the curb (I'll post it as soon as I figure it out).

I knew this one was the one.

And on a side note, we had rover parts waiting on our doorstep when we got home!

Ahh.. cool. Now the real fun begins.. the battles over who's turn it is to buy parts, the mad race up the stairs when the UPS man drops goodies off, the disappointing looks when they arent for you, fighting over the newest catalogs.
