Auto Transport DC to Dallas

Hi all,

In the middle of rebuilding my 110 and have to get it shipped to Ft Worth/Dallas. The glass is not in, but it does move under its own power.

Any recommendations for a reasonable shipping company?

Thanks,

Matt

Ran across this...maybe of some use http://www.transportreviews.com/. I used Cowboy (yeah I know) Transport to move 5 vehicles from the Carolinas and there were no problems.

I just used Safeway Car Transport LLC for NJ to TX... very reasonable and great to work with. PM me if you want contact details there.

Matt, Pete is a broker that has helped me move 4 or 5 Defenders over the past year and I have referred him to others on this forum who have also had good experiences. Give him a call, tell him you got his name from me and see what he can do for you. It's mostly right place right time with regard to great pricing. If you want it here yesterday it will cost you and you can never expect clock work when on a thin budget.

(954) 274-5214 Pete

Good Luck
Clay

Gday Matt,

I used a guy to transport both of my 110's from Charlotte to Baltimore. He took great care and went the extra mile. Husband/Wife operation. Very reasonable. Alan 540-819-7494. He is based out of Roanoke.

Well, it's about to head to Texas. Thanks for the recommendation Bill! Al and Brandy seem top notch and reasonably priced.,

850 for everyone's reference, but they gave me an unofficial military rate. Great people!

Well, my 110 made it to TX before me! I'm very pleased with Al and his wife Brandy....excellent service and highly recommended. Her number is (540) 492-0883 if you need anything transported. A dollar a mile is their rate, but they seem pretty flexible if it's a long haul and they can move another vehicle at the same time.

Welcome to the Dallas area. There is a group of us in the area that get together occasionally for breakfast. PM me you email and I will get it over to Ken for distribution, as he typically organizes it.

Nice looking project rig.

Thanks man...will do. I won't be there until the beginning of September though. Still a lot to get done. I just put enough bolts on it to hold her together for the transport. Literally painted it in my garage (first time so not very good) and hung the wings, doors, etc. we've never been to the DFW area, but looking forward to it. Anything has to be better than northern Virginia!
