Attempt to rout the evil regimes fails

In a desperate attempt to wage a war for the hearts and minds of all Americans suffering drastically high gas prices, I decided not to give in to the evil gas mongers by purchasing my gas outside the city. In doing so I chose to minimize the profits given away in order to bring down these oppressive regimes (gas is of course cheaper in the burbs). Unfortunately, my well laid out plans were soon foiled by my own British transportation's lack of effective, accurate guages. Knowing that the guage shows empty with 4-5 gallons left every time I chose to press it just too far. In a futile attempt to make it outside the Atlanta perimeter to the promised land of cheaper petrol I was stranded without fuel on the side of busy I-85. It seems this is a war that cannot be won.

PS
Up until this afternoon I questioned my own need for jerry cans....Seems something always happens to make you purchase more metal parts to bolt, strap, and hang from the D90.

Intresting, here Gas is cheapest in the city. I ran out of gas once too, but my gauge at the time wasn't hooked up so well and read 1/2 full. but I have boycotted gas for a while now, or at least my 90 has, it has only runn for 3 weeks in the last 10 months or so

The other day I pulled into the gas station with the 90 to fillup. The guage just about touched the red mark but to my surprise the gas that went in is 14.75 gallons That means I only had .25 gallons in there!

On another gas related note, I filled up my 99D1 over the weekend, and for the first time in 6 years I've owned it, it cost me $50!!! Time to buy myself a little pot-pot 4 banger!

I'm thinking of finding an old VW Rabbit diesel, and converting it to burn either vegetable oil.... or profanities that I spew whenever I fuel up the Defender.
