I was pissed yesterday, but today made up for it.

I know some of my Soldiers are drowning their disappointment in their drinks right now.

Slowly isn't the word, the paperwork was submitted in March, I was 18 days from being unemployed.

I have to admit, it's not my first re-enlistment but the feeling of pride to be allowed to continue serving my country never ceases to amaze me. There is nothing better than being a Soldier.

We do when reporting, but not in normal day to day operations.

Its always encouraging and motivating to see someone re-enlisting... thanks for staying on the team.

that being said, ts always a damn shame to see an Officer read the oath off a cue-card. Next time slap that shit out of her hands and find someone who can look you in the eye when you re-enlist. Its the least we can do to memorize the damn thing for Soldiers that are re-upping.

Sorry, huge pet-peeve. Very happy there are guys like you willing to continue to raise your right hand and serve. We owe you everything.

Honestly I'm always happy when I can find a officer that can read without their lips moving

MAJ Reed is a great officer and probably one of the hands down nicest person you'll ever meet. She never gets asked to do re-enlistments and is always standing by to congratulate the Soldier. I thought she deserved a turn up front instead.

I agree though my last re-up was a old school full bull Colonel of the Infantry and he had that shit memorized. It was a nice touch, until he punched me in the chest while we were shaking hands lol
