Sway bar mounts pulling out of the frame, baseball sized holes in chassis as far forward as the seat box disguised under a ton of waxoyl. No bottoms in any of the doors, bulkhead rot. Seat box was a white powder pile of corrosion. Seats were serviceable as was the 200 tdi they deny installing. It is in O2beatsea's 109 but it was a wet juicy mess as it came out of the truck shortly after they installed it in the same condition. Wiring harness had been hacked up.

The fact they are trying to distance themselves by adamantly denying what they did says it all...
Neil dealt directly with Andy the owner. The truck was their very first truck sold to the US.

I will give them their share of credit.. The trucks that I have had here were quite clean.. Frames and bodies in very good shape as were the doors etc.. All look to be new doors, nicely new carpet etc etc... Problem is that as someone said before...it's like restoring a car here in the USA with pep boys parts...

I has a look through one of the trucks they did at a local show here in Vancouver a few weeks ago. "Britpart Mobile" is the nick name it was given. From a distance nice looking paint and a KBX grill, but a look inside and it was apparent it was a 3 dressed up as a 9. Leather covered door cards that were blistered, the glue was releasing on all the contours of the door. Part of the dash was covered by leather, it looks pretty shoddy for finishing work. Not to mention it looked half done. I look at that as aways being a tell tale of what's underneath. If you cheat on the final finish, what are you cheating on underneath?

I saw a few of their trucks while they were at Shayne's. They did indeed look nice at first peek, from 20 feet away.

Sounds as though they have evolved a minute amount since 2008 and are now putting lipstick on pigs

Jimmy shipping a smooth roof over requires that the truck be mid year 89 or newer. In their defense that wasn't an option nor was fuel injection on the v8.
No idea what these sell for but its a buyer beware scenario and I have been shouting it from the roof tops since 2008.

Ouch. Almost makes the premium on a NAS d90 seem like the cost of not dealing with the above headaches.

I think its more a case of researching whom you are working with and flying over and looking @ some of their product before parting with a deposit. Same thing happens stateside daily with other makes.

And while that subject is brought up.... Be very wary of placing deposits and expecting promises and timelines to be met..

Yes and their website, which is pretty Slick, invites one to do exactly that. Send a deposit and trust all these testimonials who did just that!

Well it is my hope that a google or safari search pulls up this thread so that what has happened to Neil and others doesn't happen to the next guy.

Timely, as I just saw a newly imported LRUK grey 1988 D110 right down the street from my office at a local mechanic that only works on euro imports.

Looked beautiful from the outside and was done by LRUK. Really nice heated exmoor seats inside, etc.

I asked inside and it was getting an engine rebuild bc while the new owner was driving back from picking it up, the flywheel flew off, broke threw the engine cover and cracked the head.

I was told they're shipping over new parts...

It's one thing to buy lipstick on the pig and another to buy an unsafe vehicle.

I feel really bad for that owner.

I figured that with the carb, but they could fix that stateside for the amount they are charging.

They're lucky it didn't come into the passenger compartment! Imagine what a flywheel spinning at 2k RPM's would do to your legs

Not using his real name......

Trust worthy face in the picture. Anyone else see and hear Pee Wee Herman in their head when they look @ it ?
