Are you tough?

Not unless you are Emily Harrington! This young lady used to babysit my kids, very impressive. She is the world #1 woman free climber...check this video of her out. Her Dad is quite proud!!

Wow 5.13 traverses, 2.5 hrs on a single pitch! 5 days of sustained HD climbing! Hell no I'm not worthy!

and to think she "got serious" about two years ago. Thats awesome.

And to think that I bothered bragging to my wife about standing outside the Sears - sorry, "Willis" Tower ledge the other day...

Beyond broken nails and bandages, that girl's got courage!

There's a whole lot of "Nope!" going on in that video.

Talk about a head for heights. I get queasy getting on a ladder to clean my eavestroughs LOL.

Pure physicality and economy of movement. Inspiring stuff. Thanks for sharing!

Killer vid! Kudos also to the guy ahead shooting the whole thing! An awesome achievement and an amazing amount of work went into her getting her skills to that point in such a relatively short period of time! But more than skill is her confidence and trust in herself and equipment. I don't think I could even handle that point at the top in the end where she is triumphant and relaxed! I'd lose my $h!t and trip off the ledge! El Cap? No way, Jose!

My wife couldn't watch the video. She grew up in Miami and has no head for heights. Hiking is something I can do only with my boys.

she has received a tremendous amount of press from that vid...all over Facebook and Youtube now.

She is a tremendously courageous young lady...last year, she walked the top end of Sth America - no food, no tents, no support - through the Amazon with two of her girlfriends...she came out the other side 50lbs lighter, having lived with Amazon Indians and other indigenous folks for much of the time...just because.

Ummm, I guess calling her a badass was a big understatement. This is unreal.

Lol... that's lovely. She reminds me of my group of friends. 'Try? Never done it before and it looks fun and challenging. We'll figure it out.' Way to push through. Good for her!!

Seriously? So you gotta climb with your poop in your backpack?

Why cant you just hang your ass over the side of your swingy tent thing?

That's my greatest fear! Every crack and crevice worth holding on to has already happened for a reason. I feared movement or piton gun starting a reaction that would end me! Real climbers, such as herself, have both nerves of steel and, pardon the pun, "suspension" of disbelief! :-) I got stressed just watching.
