Are you eventually going to put the top on your truck?

...or are you just going to shovel the snow out of it?

This is the question I got asked by a co-worker this morning who I passed on my way in.

<45 degrees this morning...no top, no windows, enjoying the sun :-)

I just put the shed on top yesterday, been topless all summer. It is immediately apparent how much louder the truck is with it on.

If I track down a fume-curtain I'll be topless all winter... Not that the 90 is my daily.

I think I would go topless all winter not because of the cold, but because the winter can be a real rainy season in south Texas.

58 and sunny this morning. Could have died and gone to heaven!

Nope, just bundle up and have some fun... The transmission does work well as a seat warmer though.

Just put the top on... it got a bit cold here, dropped to 62!! Madness. Of cause the door tops and tub windows are somewhere in the garage but as my daily driver, I need to show up to the office somewhat dignified. We had rain today, first of the season and that's the real reason for a cover.
As a side note, put the top on last week for shade when the temp hit 106 - triple temp for the week. 1st time it was easy to do as usually I have to fight. Heat made it real soft and easy to work with.

I just put the hard top on last weekend. Mostly because it has been raining here a good bit and the dog is not allowed to ride in the NSX.

Still topless (rear zipped out and sides rolled up; Badger III) as of today. Should make it through October that way.

Still topless at 7600 feet. The mornings have been down to 25. Today was nice and warm at 39.

So finally put the top on.

Pouring rain and had to take my daughter in to get two teeth pulled.

Normally I would put a jacket on her and tell her to suck it up....but had to have a little compassion :-)

Thinking about taking it off again soon...

My personal favorite is when there's rain on the inside of the windshield.

At that point, I usually just turn off the wipers :-)

Problem today is sustained 30mph winds with gusts of 60-70.

Rear pass window came undone and there was plenty of rain in the truck.

I think it is time that I properly fit the door seals on the Badger for the winter...

I did not remove the top so far this year..... Truck sat disabled in the driveway for the past X months.... I fired up the engine three days ago! A few more bolts and I'll drive it around town. If the weather stays that warm, I'll definitely remove the top.

I do remember 3-4 years ago going offroading with no top at all, it was just defunct. I did have one of those blue tarps but the "setup" failed on the way there. I drove back for a good 45 minutes under pouring rain.... Memories.... I did not take pictures! I even got wet under my coveralls... Good times! [This was early summer, rain was not too cold, I did get sick though]

Old school Series drivers I know carry a small squeegee for that. I vividly recall driving a friends Series 1 107 home one night in Maine with no door tops, a driving rain, frightening death wobble and my head out the window to see better. Imagine that coming at you in the headlights.

I have a vivid memory of being a baby and watching my Mother wipe the streaming water away from the inside of her Mini Cooper's windshield, during a rainstorm in Northern Ireland in the early 1970's.
