Anyone know who owns this now?

about 8 months ago this was for sale on e bay, from a dealer in N.C. he then sold it to another dealer...

Well i was going to buy it but had a kid do any day and i had not clue as to how the delivery or bill would go... eveything went well and now im looking at them again. I was / am in love with this D-90. I know the original owner use to post on here but from what i have been told he is into rock buggys now. I think you all said his name was jeff.

anyway if any of you kow where this went of if it is still for sale let me know please.

that thing was for sale on a used car lot in WIlmington, NC. I know for a fact that the guy who owned the lot picked that rig up for $13,000 wholesale. He wanted over $30k for it here. There was lot's of interest in it from what I gathered, but then one day the dealership was gone. Overnight. No cars, no sign, no nothing. That was about 6 months ago.

yes, the truck is in private hands now. Ran into the owner with the truck at MAR this year. He is active in the NC club I think. I will have to check my emails with him though as I wanted to get more detailed pictures of the Safari snorkel install on that truck.

Follow-up Post:

BTW.. moving to MISC section.

yea i wanted that real bad. I could have had it for $26K but the dealer sold to another dealer and then it went on e bay.

I would love to find a D 90 and do all the stuff to it.

'looks like a '97 LE with an ARB, and the sill plate diamond plating replaced with rock sliders.

Kinda pointless putting a snorkel on a gas engine; 'just for looks I guess.

holy hell its my old rig.... Weird i just posted today to see if anyone has seen it, must be fate.... but probably not!

I can not believe its still running, the dealer i sold it to gave me some bullsh... story that he rolled it the day after i droped it off, saying it was unsafe for roaduse. He actually screwed me out of 1000.00 dollars. The title is a salvage title since the damn odometer died on it. TMU total miles unknown...

Seems to be alot of questions on the snorkle... Ummm dont do it. What a pain in the ass that was. But after you hole saw a 3 inch hole in the side of your rig your kinda commited. I still have scars on my hands routing the hose past the heater core. It looked okish, but not perfect, i still think it looks better than the dryer hose snorkles that are common. My snorkle was functional and sealed, well it use to be, the new owner crossing that stream better know what he is doing!

I bet the odometer didn't die. The flex circuit from the odometer electronics to the LCD display often goes flakey on the speedos used in the 97's. The miles are still recorded OK. You can take the speedo apart and try to clean the contacts; do a search in the "looking for help" section for details.
