Anyone know what happened to George?

I wasn't really much of a customer, but his website sez:

RDS Parts website is closed.

This website has now closed and will not be reopened.

Contct Safari HP for parts.

Since the cat is out of the bag, George sold everything to SafariHP. All the parts are moving to FL.

Good for George if he wanted to get out of the business, but you'd think there'd be some value to keeping RDS alive with the reputation George built up for the name.

Supposedly SHP bought the name too.

I hope George is kicked back on a sail boat somewhere. He is a great guy. Had some really fun times dealing with him and learned so much from him.

When I was talking to Stephen the other day about the sale I said I hope George's Rover brain was included in the sale. That man knows where every nut and bolt goes and what the part number is.

Man that is no joke, if you ever had the pleasure of going to the warehouse, it was like brain over load with the amount of information he knew. He knew old part numbers and the new one that replaced them... He was like a computer.

Stephen and George have been talking about this for a while. There is no doubt he will be missed. Truly a colorful individual and a wealth of knowledge. His service was an asset to the community.

I really enjoyed dealing with George. Always sold me what I needed and told me what I didn't need also. Best wishes George!

Why do I get the strange feeling that George is cashing out his treasure, buying a boat and going full Calypso down in NOLA

At one point George had a roverporn site. I can't remember the URL but I do remember busting a nut all over my keyboard the first time I saw it.

Yeah that was great. I think it was porn.roversdownsouth.com (which goes to that same site down page).

Best wishes, whatever you are up to George!

Roverporn.com

Not up anymore.

I visited with Uncle G. last year in September. I won't discuss his health issues on here but he did tell me a great deal of what was going on. I hope he's ok.
