Sorry to hear RDS is no longer. Way back in '99, I was still servicing my Rover at the dealer. We didn't have a LR dealer in Baton Rouge at the time so this meant a trip to New Orleans. On one of my last visits there, the parts department quoted something ridiculous. George actually delivered parts to the dealer for them to install. No doubt he got a big kick showing them his prices were like half, but that was impressive service.
"Uhh...I think they all leak like that."

I had the pleasure of taking my sick 110 to NO and spending the day with him crawling around underneath checking out my transmission. He got on the phone and call a guy in CO and when all was said and done I left and he arranged for me to get a transmission from the dude in NM. Probably the best human rover tech experience I could ever have. That was all pre-Katrina and I regret not making back over there since. thanks for the posts.

Ah man, I haven't needed to work on the Landy for awhile and just found out this happened. George was indeed a character, and it was amazing to me year after year he remembered me when I called him up looking for this that or the other thing. I'm still not sure how he managed that.

Cheers George, I hope he's well.
