Anyone know this D90

Hey guys,

I saw this D 90 about 6 months ago at the rover dealer in the next state when i was getting my benz worked on. It looked ok but has the usual scratches and door rust. Its for sale again and i was wondering if any of you have seen it before or know anything about it. Seems like the people on here know something about all the D90's!

any information would be good.

Oh yea the vin number is SALDV3247VA103866, also is there any typical things that you all know are known problems on them? It is also a auto.

That looks like the one that was at the dealership in Knoxville, TN for probally a year. I don't know what happed to the truck from LRK but that truck looks like it. There were some prople in TN Rovers that wanted it but I think they were wanting way to much for it. Is that truck on 33's?

Its currently on eBay for sale by the guy or one of the guys who used to run Landroversforsale.com. Looks familar but cant place who the old owner would be but the shrockworks tire carrier may be a good give-away if you do a search of the owners bios. Maybe they had a bio if I added it.

I'm 92.23454563456% sure that it was James Biglane's D90. I don't think James has a bio but pretty sure his son Denton ('97 LE) does. Last I saw James and his truck was the last Solihull rally in Ouray. Cool truck. If I wanted another wagon I'd be tempted.

Follow-up Post:

Here's a picture of Denton and James' trucks during the rally. Unfortunately I don't have a better picture...but I'm pretty sure that's it.

The carrier was built by RockWare. The only thing I remember about this truck is the owner past away and it was for sale. That what I read when it was on ebay long time ago.

Shawn, the guy who sold the LE and got a buggy is Jeff Down not the guy mentioned above.

Nope, ChrisVonC is correct, that's a Shrockworks spare tire carrier. I have the same one.

So this is also the wrong truck.
http://www.defendersource.com/forum/...achmentid=3749
Because it had the same tires and the same spare tire carrier.

Just a little follow up, I think it was the first SW Jim built one of his carriers for.

That's funny, cuz mine is the last one he ever made. I was the last one in on that final group order he agreed to do for us.

I don't know...but I doubt it.

I assumed it was his because it looked so close. I'm pretty sure that Matt did all of James' stuff...and this I'm fairly certain is his and not the one for sale,
