Considering it says it comes with a new X-member it leads me to believe at least the back part of that frame needs some welding on it, and for what he wants for it, that is a huge NO in my opinion.

I was wondering this but the original CL add is no longer available so it's hard to compare the images/listing. I like the look but there does not seem to be much info out there on the history except the possible CL add.

Great forum. Small world. I just joined this forum yesterday also, because I was looking at same truck. I also determined too much $$$ for the package. What do you think the correct price for this would be?
Im a newbie to the LR world. Spend good amount of time on other forums with fast cars and lots of HP. Being in NM, I need/want a good dirt ripper!

Tim it is the same exact truck as the other thread, and it's been advertised as "new lower price" at $60k for many many months.

If you're looking to spend $60k, then at least buy a NAS 110, like this:

I'd say at best the real value should be around $20k.
Positives:
1. In the US.
2. LHD
3. Has air conditioning?
4. Is a 110 that appears to drive

Negatives:
1. Dubious paint job that is probably covering up problems
2. Needs rear x-member?
3. No mention of t-case/transmission so probably noisy
4. InsaTurbo remould tires - tires are cheap to replace and should not be remoulds on anything costing more than $10k.
5. Doubtful that a factory cage from 1985 exists in any form close to this cage.
6. No pictures of door bottoms or footwells
7. No pictures of interior(looks like original, again for $60k that is ridiculous seeing as how new seats are only a couple of grand for the entire vehicle--basically saying, why is the cost so high?)
8. Drivers door isn't closed in pictures -- this is the hugest pet peeve of mine. Does it close or is the guy too lazy to close it completely for the pictures? What the F is up with that.

After 2 communications with seller, this is the very limited info I received from him via email, last thursday. Just hasn't seemed very forthcoming with details on it. For me, price way too high, and on to the next one.

"Here is a snapshot of the title and the VIN. I don't see any identifying stickers on the door but I know it was DEQd in Oregon. I've had it for about 6 months, I bought it in Portland so my wife and I could tour along the west coast. Now that the trip is over it doesn't get any use among my other toys, so I'm selling it. I can't think of any other specific history that might be pertinent."

I have gotten about the same info from the seller. Says the TDi was installed a year ago in portland. Other than that, that's it. I'm walking away from this one.

That's a nice one too.

I should have jumped on that 110 that just sold with the galvanized frame. It had everything I was looking for- 300Tdi/TD5, AC, etc...
I don't mind if it's NAS or not....just not looking for rust bucket. My range is around 50k but for the right truck, I'd make an exception.

The lack of hinge rust suggested a very new paint job to me.
