I can't figure out where the ignitors are? There is something with one wire that causes a spark right on the burner, but I don't see the ignitors to replace them. Ignitors are supposed to be square and two wires (I have genuine replacements). Before I take the oven and put it in more parts than my 110, please help! TYIA

No expert but, if you have one wire, its piezo. 2 wires should be electric. Maybe your replacements are the newer electrics and your stove is old school.

So the oven lights for like 10 seconds and then goes out.

No igniters, I think it has a glow bar like my crappy Jenn Air. glow bar stays on while the oven is on 400/500 watts

Thanks! I am at a loss short of taking the thing apart as to how it works.

I have come up with this part number for the "spark" thing.

Is it an ignitor? I don't mind spending another $35 (after dropping $110 on the 2 ignitors that were supposed to work) if that is likely the problem. It has gas, the spark thing sparks, it lights, and then it goes off in 10 seconds and does not heat up.

Sounds like the "firemans switch" isn't staying open. It's the valve that prevents gas from flowing if there isn't fire consuming it. I had this issue with my pool heater. The board needed to be changed along with the wire lead to the valve.

Everything I read says it is the ignitors. I just wish I knew where they were.

Anyone with facebook and 10 minutes want to sign up to get me the service manual for free.

We had a Viking at our last house. I will never buy one of those again after four years with that piece of crap. The stovetop was marginally okay but the oven was just awful. It cooked very unevenly and ruined a lot of dishes and nice cuts of meat. This is a consumer-grade stove (and not even a good one) wrapped in "commercial-grade clothing".

Yikes!

Btw look up that the forum "that homesite ". Way to many people there spend more time talking about bits breaking in homes and how to fix them than talk Land Rovers and how to fix them.

We used to have a Viking and had similar problems with the ignitors. If you have an older model (5-7yr old) you can upgrade to the new ignitor system. I used to steam clean ours and it would correct the issue for a few months but eventually they need to be replaced.

Thanks to all who have helped. The issue was the spark board.
