anyone here

there's been a green 95 D90 in a garage parking lot in chelmsford MA for the last 3 months,is it anyone's here
the mechanic at first said it was the fuel pump i said check fuses,no power, then he said it was the ecu full of water,he got another still didnt work,i have told him to press the fuel cut off switch which he hasn't done.
the truck is sitting outside with just a bikini top (sort of) on and the whole tub is full of snow
last time i talked to the guy he said it didnt matter as its only an old truck he hasn't got a clue what its worth

Jimmy,
Just get a rollback and claim it as your own...Get a new paintjob and file down the VIN #'s and your in business.....

Go for the abandoned vehicle route.
1st, ask the garage if they are receiving/have received payment to store the D90. If yes, ask if you can have the owners telephone number and ask to have the D90 (you liketo restore trashed cars).
2nd, if the garage is not being paid, ask if they want it removed. The go ask the cops (traffic department) what abondoned means - 3 months has got to be there.
Tow it away and file a claim report it to the police. This paper trail will prevent you from being accused of grand auto theft (you really want a paper trail on every action you do). Also, if you do tow it, get a disposable camera with as many photos in it (36 or 40) and shot pix of every angle, all the snow in it, the underside, the tow truck connecting it, etc.
Good luck

Hey, I could use that dead ECU if it's still around!!!!

I just need the ECU side connector to make a pigtail for my MegaSquirt.

So, keep on this. And get a story ready. If the garage owner has already asked the owner to move it - and asked many times, tell the garage owner you will have it towed off his property for him. You then communicate via a call or letter to the car owner that because of his failure to act, the vehicle has been moved to another location - your driveway (but do not say that)- and to call you about specifics. Get an idea of how much the D90 is worth and you are willing to pay.
Each state and county has different rules on cars, their storage and abandonment. Work it right, and who knows. Stay tight with the garage owner - and if you get the D90 for a song buy the guy a bottle of Scotch.
Let us know the outcome.

Plus side you'll have a 90 again. Unless Mike has given yours back.

Still haven't finished it yet, waiting on parts parts and more parts. Some from the UK, some from out West. I always ending up hurring up and waiting. How long do you guys think it would take Jimmy and I to get that other 90 back up and running?

You have the guys' telephone number right?
Give him a call, say you saw it was gone from the garage and again ask if he is interested in selling.
Say you really like the look of the vehicle and could he call back to say either way if he's going to sell or not.
Good luck... and remember the hunt is 90% of the fun.
