Anyone familiar with Cherokee model from Jeep ?

I may be on the market soon for a small engine SUV from a US brand (DR Cafta custom taxes rebate), and I came across the new Cherokee (not the Grand Cherokee) with the 4 cylinders engine and the 9 speed transmission. I'm new to jeep, not a huge fan, but I like the 24 mpg combined fuel consumption.

Any advice is much welcome,

PS: do not ask, I'm not selling the 90
