I picked up a minty Explorer II with all the papers box blah blah for 2700 took a lot of haggling. It isnt the most recent movement with the Parachrom spring but keeps good time as my GMT that does. Both gain a minute or two when compared to the Timex Ironman.

Maybe we need a wrist shot wednesday

Have a few Panerais, a Rolex, and a few others. My favorite watch is my Tag Super Professional. Indestructible, no longer available.

Can't go wrong with a vintage Rolex Sub. I've had a 1969/70 Rolex 5513 Submariner (no-date) for the last 10 years. It's the ultimate rugged tool (noun) watch, just like the D90 is the ultimate rugged tool (noun) truck.

Which I believe makes me the ultimate tool (adjective) because I only wear the watch while driving the truck to Starbucks.

That said, I've actually worn the Rolex around the world, in more than a couple oceans, lakes, pools and hot-tubs. Still as waterproof as a new one.

I don't have it at the house to take pictures. It is nothing special other than being a basically new 40 year old daytona.

Mine with the NATO band before somebody recommended I go back to the original band...

It's currently on the original folded link oyster bracelet. Truthfully I like the idea of the NATO band, but the stainless OEM band fits better.

Years ago I made a spur of the moment duty free purchase of a Rolex Submariner at John Bull Harbour Island, Bahamas. I could have spent $500 more and waited a few days for a "normal" Sub to come from Nassau, but I wanted it now. Got the Submariner without the date/bubble. For years I regretted it after several comments about it being fake because it didn't have the bubble. These days I could care less what people say, and I like the fact I have a Sub that is not made anymore. It also is the same worn by Roger Moore in Live and Let Die. So there!

The oyster band is nice but the jubilee is much nicer. Rolex should let you have a choice of band. Can't go wrong with a nato.
