VERY nice! We got to chat with Benoît Mintiens in Basel and was pretty impressed by his innovative watches. He had one taken apart showing us that the bottom half housed a modified ETA 2824 movement that transmits it's inputs via magnets thru a Titanium plate into the sealed oil filled upper chamber that houses the indicating components. We did a quick and dirty review here: Baselworld 2015: Ressence Live Report and here: Baselworld 2015: Wrap up and Final thoughts

Thanks! The Doxa Sharky was relumed (hands and dial) at the last service by Jack at IWW, the Tudor Snowflake got a movement service but has the original Tritium dial and hands, and the Seamaster 300 was trashed so it got NOS case, dial and hands at its last service.

I prefer sympathetic restorations over full refurbs, but the Omega was too far gone to salvage. Tritium lume can "burn" and cause the hands and indices to turn black.

I like the look of radium dials that are burnt as a result.

Today Ressence announced the release of their Type 5 that will become available next year. From WatchUSeek: RESSENCE TYPE 5 - watchuseek.com

I still prefer the Type 3. I don't think a thermometer is a very useful complication.

Big fan of Sinn... True tool watches, meant to be used and abused.

Just delivered a WG YM II to a client.
He loves it.
His buddy had me get him the SS version.
I think the SS looks 10X better than the WG version, they should have switched the WG and SS bezels and WG would have sold much better.
They at least wised up with the GMT and only offer the pepsi bezel in WG (I do hope it changes and is offered on SS soon though!)

If you guys ever run across a Steinhart heritage lemans gt, I would love to know about it. I have been searching for two years and keep missing them by just a couple of days. If you own one, I'd pay over retail to get it. #54 is the dream but I'd settle for any number.

Yes I recall you were very excited about it until I told you Canal Street wasn't the jewelry district!
