That U1 is real good looking. Is Watch Buys the only distributor in US? I want.
I'd love to check out your 110 sometime Bo, I've got a cabin in West Jefferson and head there regularly.

you most certainly can. the brand has taken an absolute f*cking beating in the last 18-24 months.

the SE and more premium pieces still command a fairly high price, but nothing like they did even just a few years ago.

if you guys need help finding a great deal on a PAM let me know...

This is sooo spot on and true.

I have a PAM that I bought new in Italy 10 years ago that zoomed up and got to be "worth" about 8 or 9 grand. It has fallen to about 5 to 6 now. Never going to sell it, it's for one of my daughters but, ouch...

More than I paid for it but still a shellacking from the market high..

Somebody tell me when we get to the NAS 90 SW market top tho, if you don't mind...

WatchBuys is the only US Authorized Dealer. Many people either get them pre-loved from one of the forums or get them from German Dealers thru chrono24. If a Stateside warranty is important, WatchBuys is the only way to go. I send my Sinns back to Germany and shipping back is usually $100+.

Shoot me a PM when you're in the area and I'll buy you a beer, or a double half-caff skinny caramel macchiato shaken not stirred (if that's your thing).

Before digital clocks I never found an aircraft clock that could keep accurate time from one day to the next. I think that is why they invented HF time hack frequencies. The new digital clocks are tied into the GPS and are dead nuts on.

He runs the largest forum on watches on the internet too, not to mention a CRAZY number of collectable timepieces.

Naw, I'm more of an enthusiast. And be careful, I've been known to chew a person's ear off when the conversation turns to watches.

I have a few interesting pieces Jonsey. My biggest fear is that my wife will sell them for what I told her they cost when I'm gone.

Found a watch I like. I put it on and it felt right.

Breitling Superocean Heritage.

I can get it for $5300 out the door at an authorized dealer, or grey market at $4k from Authentic Watches with their warranty. I feel like for that kind of money it's better to spend the extra $$ for peace of mind.

Thoughts?

The resale on those is pretty low. I would check rolex forums and see if someone like DavidSW has one LNIB.

I buy all of my watches used.... Check watchrecon.com. I have bought a panaeri, graham and Omega all from there and I paid roughly $2-3k less than new AD pricing. No reason to buy new, and on a fine watch you don't need a warranty. It will outlast you and your D90. This is my latest from there, came Friday.

Anything in the Breitling line that ha good resale? I'm not interested in resale though. This is a wearable wedding gift for my 5 year old son - someday.

New Breitling and resale .... not so much. Vintage navitimer or cosmonaute sure.

Anyway, no send in spending retail was my only point, especially on a super ocean.
