Jack,

I am all about Rolexes, specially vintage ones ( yours is awesome )

Ask Bo.....Bo knows

But that price point limits you to more generic ones.

I love what Nomos is doing. Honest question here. Do you appreciate horology or do you just want something that looks cool and works fine? I ask because a lot of watches at that price point do not use their own movements. My Nomos fawning is related to this because I fall into the horology over looks spectrum. Along those lines, I like Grand Seiko over a lot of other luxury brands because they use in-house movements. For the mentality that Tudor is a poor man's Rolex, I hesitate to agree. To me, Tudor is what Rolex used to be before Rolex's sport line hit all of Wall Street's wrists and started catering to them. Tudor makes some of the last well-made, no frills sports watches.

Or just go with any used Omega Speedmaster.

Thanks Jonsey, from a WIS standpoint I have to echo a few other folks here with the Speedmaster Moon Watch, Tudor Black Bay Black, and any Nomos.

For tacti-cool watches I am a huge fan of Sinn U Series and EZM Series watches. There is nothing sexier than Tegimented Submarine Steel or Titanium watches from Germany. One of mine was previously issued to a GSG-9 Operator and another was issued to a German Customs Enforcement SWAT member. I even have one of their 8 day mechanical aircraft clocks mounted in my 110.

Another suggestion is a MkII Fulcrum, if you can find one.

Very Easy, the owner Robert handles everything and is in contact with you the entire time.

He brokered all the customs stuff on both borders because they required some additional documents and did everything until it got to my door step.

I have been wearing a CWC watch for a few years as a casual / daily watch. I first saw them as issue MOD watches for UK soldiers in Afghanistan. I would say not the absolute best quality but very good. I am happy. Classic simple designs. http://www.cwcwatch.com

I'm on the plank list for the Key West white dialed Rolex PanAm GMT homage. It's been a wait, but it'll be well worth it. I got to handle the Fulcrum grey earlier this year at BaselWorld and came away thinking this was a watch Rolex should be making.

Here's a few of my favorite Sinns. This is what's in my 110:

The Tegimented Sub Steel U1:

Two special edition U1's:

A sexpile of German Customs Enforcement (ZUZ & ZTZ) issued EZM1's:

An oil filled UX in the Sinn showroom:

At an off angle with oil:

At an off angle without oil:

I don't think you can go wrong with anything Sinn makes.

It's a NaBo 56/8 eight day mechanical aircraft clock. We had the same type of clock in C-130's. Here's a link to Sinns website: https://www.sinn.de/en/Modell/NaBo_56-----8.htm Technical specifications are here: http://www.sinn.de/en/Download/Bedie...o-56-----8.pdf

Here's where it's currently mounted:

And here is the truck it's mounted in at MAR:
