Any tips for putting on Bestop top?

This forum has been a wealth of knowledge for a new D90 owner like myself. Thanks for everything.

It has gotten a bit cool here and my kids are complaining about riding in the back of the truck. Time to put the full top back on. I spent an hour yesterday wrestling with the top and still did not get it fully back on. The hang up seems to be with getting the top in the track at the front of the vehicle. Any tips for installing? It hangs everything else up with the snaps and buckles from there back.

I even set the top out in the sun for an hour or so thinking that would loosen it up but not that much. Any tips or tricks that I am missing?

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Do the front FIRST. Do not do anything else before doing that. I also usually start at one of the curves in the header bar (corner of passenger and driver sides), then work my way across the vehicle. From there push it all back into the header bar once more to ensure a tight fit, then proceed backward.

Lay the top on the truck, put as much of it on as you can. Then put it in your garage with a heater in the back. After an hour or so, you should be able to stretch it enough to get it all the way on.

Starting at the front is the first step.
Do it in the sun or with a heater in the truck so the top will stretch. Otherwise you will be struggling more then needed.

As others have said: Front first, remove windows, 75 degrees plus.

Heat is the biggest factor and without it it will never go on. I once spent 8 hours trying to get one on in a 55 degree garage - not fun.
