Any ROW Defenders with low miles ?

A little while ago there was a listing here about NAS Defenders with low miles. Very interesting but what about ROW trucks ?

Ok, you can still buy them new with 0 miles but that is not fun
What about ROW Defenders importable or imported to US, so at least 25 years old?

In my search for Defenders I came across some nice ones. The best I had so far was appr 50 K miles, now owned by a board member. This week I found a 1985 though with less then 10 K miles, 14,337 Km which is 8,960 miles.

I am wondering is this the lowest around ?

PS : will be heading to US soon.

Mine had 87k and was bone stock when I purchased it came with all of the documentation from New including the original sales receipt. Never even had a radio installed. Not bad for a 1984

Mine had 43k when it got here... Obviously I took it with a grain of salt. However, I am convinced after a few years of ownership that it is accurate. That being said, 'low miles' doesn't mean shit when the vehicle has been used as intended and is rusty/dented, etc

My lowest so far on an original motor unmolested is 50000km.
It's a one owner with documentation to back it. Lots of low mileage rebuilds around though.

Low mileage ROWs are out there especially in the military and government sectors in rich Arab states. In my registry you can the 1989 110 called "Dug the Dog." It is a UAE ex-Special Operations hard top that has 46,140 km (about 30,000 miles) on an original speedometer/odometer and engine. It was maintained by the British Army's top LR guy in the UAE Army as his personal truck. Its still in Dubai but coming back here soon. However the real barn find is the 1985 110 CSW "Bad Wolf" It was a UAE government vehicle that was the chief gardeners car at the Al Rumailah palace in Fujayrah. The mileage on the original odometer was 5,141 km or 3,187 miles. The royal gardens are 1km x 1km so we estimate he drove the truck 5 km (3 miles) per day 200 days a year for 5 years. They switched to Toyotas in 1989 and the truck was left in covered storage till we were told it could be bought in 2012 and we got it and did a 80% restoration. It just arrived in the states a couple of months ago and both trucks have original government documentation/registrations showing kilometer history. However after 30 years they were always in the natural habitat of a Defender ... stuck on a truck carrier!

Nice another red 110 Johan, I will try not to look at it! I think the low mileage means more for the mechanical aspects of the vehicle than the body/frame. I like the idea of owning the royal gardener's truck. Has a nice ring to it.
