If we start using logic and reasoning in Rover purchases we are all screwed.

No kidding! Nothing like getting a new rover and having to put it straight in the shop to replace the things that make it go!

Always set aside a few thousand dollars in addition to purchase price for the incidentals.

Agreed there are ones out here but I want a stick shift and it has low miles - shipping is going to run around 1500 and my guess is its worth in the 2-3000 range? thoughts?

Jay-

What are the miles? Good D1's, especially the 5 speeds, are retaining value lately-not like RRCs (yet) but I'd say 2500 assuming it is under 150k mikes with no rust issues.

Personal preference is for the GEMs w/r380, but my anecdotal sense is those are rarer than the 94-95's, so assuming it is in good condition and you want to go expo white it may be worth it.

I think its got 90000 miles so yes low miles - just need someone to put some eyes on it before I can commit

Needs wheels and tires as far as I can see has new clutch but thats all I know at this point not sure about rust or any other history
