Did you know that if you are a prime member, or have any amazon account, you are automatically able to order from the UK site? For parts and accessories, it is very very cheap shipping. Sometimes even free!

Didn't know that - good tip. Never thought of using Amazon for Rover parts.

I really didn't need to know this. I already have an Amazon problem.

Been there done that! But yes, it is a good little benefit...I'm pretty sure anyone with an Amazon account can order (doesn't have to be prime).

Yeah, and with the strong dollar there's some killer deals to be had. It's not just Amazon UK, but any of Amazon's sites so compare prices among them. Shipping prices may vary from site to site as well so add it to your cart and check the final price on the last checkout page (after you select your payment method.) Sometimes faster shipping is cheaper too, so play with shipping options as well. The price includes VAT, so after you select a US shipping address it'll deduct it so it's even cheaper. The other day I ordered the Sony 85mm f2.8 A-mount camera lens from Amazon Germany for about $200 shipped. It's $298 from Amazon USA. Of course most often the items have to be sold by Amazon and not a 3rd party as most 3rd party sellers haven't enabled international shipping options. Another downside is that the items don't carry a USA warranty, but I think the savings makes up for it. Also, you're probably going to want to add expensive items like a DSLR to your homeowner's insurance policy rather than rely on a warranty anyways. It's also nice Amazon gives you the option of paying in USD too, so there's no additional fees from your bank for charging in another currency. It just says Amazon Redmond, WA on the transaction like it was purchased in the US.

There's a list of the different sites here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=487250
