Always something

I am beginning to think this thing is haunted. The LWB It just caught fire and burned up half the engine bay. F.

Damn, sorry to hear Bill. Isn't this the RRC that you just got back on the road? Maybe it's pissed that you sold it's brother (the SWB)?

Dude, that totally sucks. Sorry to see that. Glad you are ok. Did you put it out or did it burn out on its own?

I am about to go back and recover it. I was just at the emissions test, and on my way to do another errand on Rockville. Noticed smoke inside and pulled into a Montgomery County supply yard parking lot. It naturally drew a lot of attention. Couple dudes come running up and hit it with fire extinguishers. What a mess. It happened pretty close to Sarah's office, so she came and got me. We then went to get dads pick up. I will go get a tow dolly and bring it home.
It may be repairable but I think I will just scrap it. I'm just not in a position that I can do such an extensive repair.

That is God telling you to convert to diesel. Sometimes it's hard to see God's ultimate plan, but he knows when we need a push.

God? Maybe. I would sooner believe it was the Devil torturing me. But I'm gonna get rid of that heap and get the 2A up and running

No, that's God. When I sent my new to me 110 to Pendy to be restored and converted, the only economy vehicle available at the car rental agency I was using was a Purple PT Cruiser, which I had to drive for over a month. THAT my friend, is the devils work. Like 7th level of hell kind of crap. Sh*t ain't right.

Bill that sucks!

Before you write it off, it does not look bad at all (soot makes things look worse than it is -- the stepper motor is not even melted). Figure out what happened and maybe it can be fixed with some wiring repair and a few new hoses.

Odd place to burn. Leaking fuel line maybe?

Sorry to ear that mate! As everyone said, at least you're alright.. Might want to take a closer/second look at it as it don't look too bad.. I've seen worst then that as other don't always have a fire extinguisher, guess that don't cheer you up much but hey, can't be blame for not trying!
