Almost famous

My RRC was used today as the prop car for a Vineyard Vines photoshoot.
Booked for 1/2 a day but only used for one shot. Nice crew. It was strange for me not being the photographer and just the guy that brought the old car.

Forced me to finally install the rest of the interior. Still have the two kick panels & the rear seat belts to do.

That's awesome! I'll be on the lookout for your truck on promo material at the Georgetown store.

nice. I'm still waiting (patiently) for my truck's big day. Hell, I'd do it for free or one of their Yeti coolers. I just got their newest catalog in the mail yesterday with the Bronco on the cover.

Cool feeling isn't it.

Back about 25 years ago, Jay Leno ride my Harley on stage.

Then about 15 years ago a country singer named Wade Hayes used my bike in a photo shoot for his album.

Congrats! Feels good to know others appreciate a great car.

A couple years ago my Series was used in a music video. Band of Horses Knock Knock was the video - kind of a Mutual of Omaha theme. It is cool knowing your car has been "immortalized" in this way.

Just under 4 minutes in.

I have had three brushes with TV during my Land Rover ownership; one TV show filming using my 95 Disco I and two TV news interviews with my D-110.

1. In 2004, my blue Disco I was selected by the local TV production company filming Veronica Mars to add the truck into a night time fight scene. All they wanted really were the roof level lights. I got paid about $150 for 12 hours use of the truck. I got to dine at the craft persons' buffet, but couldn't mingle with the talent.

2. Twice, while filling up at my local Chevron, I was approached by reporters asking my opinion on high gas prices. The most recent episode was this past Memorial Day. Gas was over $4.49 for 89 octane. I was filling up to go on a LR Club of San Diego trip that weekend.
Of course I blamed it all on CARB and EPA. The 110 was in the background of the interview.
