Please share with anyone you know that maybe on the water today in South Florida. Perry is the son of our dear friends and they've been missing since yesterday afternoon.

I hope they are found, really snotty weather system down here this weekend. Sounds like they were headed to the corner to bottom fish. We have had a lot of west winds this summer so if something happens you get blown out into the Gulf Stream (only 5ish miles off shore of Jupiter) which hauls ass north. They seem like good watermen and will stay with the boat and be found shortly.

Thanks Raub... Perry has more sea hours than most adults i know and more than competent. Yup hoping they just had some engine trouble and are getting carried north and will be found soon.

I will be out on the water all day tomorrow south of Jupiter , but the currents run north. Hope they find them safe and sound.

Thinking about those teenagers. Good news is there is more commercial traffic concentrated in what appears to be right spots to the north (3:10). There was only 1 in the same area during the 1:19 screen grab (but mistakenly copied to the south which is not relevant).

no doubt its a heavily trafficked area. I think the search has moved north to Melbourne area.

latest update. May have been spotted in Bimini.

"A recent update is that They may have been sighted coming into the Bahamas this morning. A man said he saw 2 white juveniles coming into the Bahamas on a 18 to 20 foot boat. The search is on land and sea now".

... every time you post I'm hoping you are going to say they have been found. If it were my son I'd be dying right now. I pray the boys are safe and found very soon.

Praying for that to be the case. I figured if they went offshore with the hard west winds we have had they may have just chose to keep going and run with a following sea to the other side as opposed to beating their way back into a heavy head sea in the Gulf Stream.

Been following this, I'm from the Abacos, I really hope they are found safe and sound. And if they are that experienced, they should be fine. Out here our hardcore island life types kids are driving whalers and free dive spear fishing by 8.

I worry about what will happen to the parents once this all blows over though, surely in the States they will be locked up?

Thanks Romrok. Still no sign of them. They are shifting the search north again and the reward is up to $100k.

Crap....nothing! Must be further north than anyone realizes, and further out. I hope they had a lot of water

Are you down for mini lobster season?

More on topIc. I think we just prevented a similar story yesterday.
I'm in Key West right now and we just rescued four completely inexperienced boaters in the main channel coming into KW Harbor. Hydro thunder rented a jet boat to four non-English-speaking people (one of which was a child around 5) NOBODY had life jackets!!!!!!!
I can't believe they rented a boat to them. The guy couldn't even figure out what was going on and the woman was trying to bail out the boat with her cupped hands!
F-ing incredible!
Can you believe those asshats (the people that rented the boat to them) had the audacity to give us shit for using their dock to drop their customers off?!? After we clearly saved them from doom. I think the jet boat sunk minutes after we left.

The amount of absolutely retarted boating down here is amazing.

Hence, why you won't catch me near a boat farther from land than I want to swim.
I'm both inexperienced and have a fear of deep water.
Never even been on a cruise. Saw too many movies with sinking ships.
My luck on a Caribbean cruise, an iceberg would find its way to St. Thomas.
