No epirb or spot onboard. not sure about vhf. they were never supposed to leave the inlet so should of always been in cell range. but being 14 you push your boundaries and in this case your luck.

A 406 epirb is offshore gear. You pretty much never see them in boats on inland waters or even boats used within sight of shore. On the Chesapeake many boats this size don't even have operational nav lights, much less a vhf, you just don't use them @ night.

Got my fingers crossed. They have been in the water a long time.

Hey Craig. Navy has joined the search and they are showing no signs of reducing the assets dedicated to looking. The water is very warm and if they are rafted up with a bunch of jackets and the cooler there is no reason to still not hope for a happy ending.

I have hope. These kids appear to be responsible and resourceful. Anything is possible with even a little time to prepare combined with some basic know how. Let's keep the faith.

Perry I landing a shark in the bahamas. Thing was so heavy it almost pulled him off the dock.

Fund has been set up to keep private aircraft flying.

PILOTS and Twin engine planes needed in the Jacksonville, FL area to fly search grids tomorrow. Raised plenty of money for fuel but need some help with aircraft and pilots. Please spread the word if you know any aviators. Thank you.

No worries John, lots of volunteers in that group, and good folks to boot! Hope it yields some help!

I have been through some water survival training. If you keep your head you can survive almost indefinitely. There have been cases of people surviving for over a hundred days adrift before being rescued.

Hopefully with the Navy joining in they can find these boys. Those P3 guys specialize at finding something as small as a sub periscope in the vast expanses of the Atlantic. If any one can find them it's then.

If any has a plane and needs a spare pilot to keep it flying in the search I'll fly down from VT and help out.
