They need to incorporate the epic overland traveling in Alaska shots and story a bit more. Glad the Rover is back, want to watch more now.

Tightened the steering, went through all fluids, and packed it with gear and spares. Drove out of the driveway. I had owned it about a year prior to filming and had gone through the bits to keep it running and used it quite a bit on trails and driving it around town just because.
Reminds me of the IIa they bought (it had rolled over) to drag the range rovers through the Darien Gap.

What drama over the power steering loss in super jeep... mine hasn't worked for 25 years in my series!

That is an incredible comparison. I won't acknowledge that my Series should even be in the same sentence with that IIa.

I'm still trying to figure out how you are back in the race. Did I miss that in the first 10 minutes of the episode?

I mean, I figured they would be cutting back to you trying to catch up, but you're in 2nd place! (for the leg)

EDIT: My fault for missing the recap at each commercial break -- you're disqualified. OK. Makes sense now.

Yes you missed the drama. I showed up and the other teams " decided " that I was out of the race but could still continue on. Notice how I never asked to continue. Driving a Series to Deadhorse became my endeavor!!, and wheeling it along the way the prize!!!

Probably slightly different on 37's in heavy mud for 8 hours per day. With that amount of power application and that little control, there will be trouble.

Add in the small aftermarket steering wheel and it's gonna be a long next few weeks for the lower 48'ers. They better mind their thumbs!

If it is a mud race, everyone brought the wrong type of trucks.

And how come none of the Alaskans have their own land anchors for a solo comp?

Yah, they apparently were never taught how to hold a steering wheel when off roading.

Usually all it takes is one badly jammed thumb. But then again it seems like seat belts are optional as well for some of the contestants. With the floppy doors on Super Jeep, I'd be wearing my seat belt 24/7.

I was wondering how 35x12.50 would fit on a series. Now I know.

How wide are your rims? I didn't see it last night but I'll check it out tonight on the history channel app.
