Wish we did have more time...I would love to spend more time on the road!!

Its a shame we'll miss the event...sounds like a lot of fun!!

Thanks for the compliments on the truck...Its pretty clean and has gotten us this far, so I think we got a pretty good one!!

Just now leaving Grande Prarie :-)

Made it to Watson Lake in the Yukon Territory today! Lots of wildlife but most of the photos are on the camera...I'll post some of them after I get home and download them!

The trucks doing well, but this thing sure doesn't like to pull up a steep hill with any speed does it?? I'm doing my best to baby it since its such a long trip, so I guess I'll just keep letting the truckers and the little old people pass us!! 😁 🚙 I guess that just gives us more time to enjoy the scenery!! 🌄

It is definitely not going to be quick up the hills, but I wouldn't be too afraid to push it.

Got back to Anchorage yesterday and concluded the trip...just a bit over 4900 miles total in 11 days!! What a great trip! I'll get the pictures off the camera and load them soon...
Here are a couple more off the phone...

Spent the better part of the evening removing the roof tent and hanging it from the garage ceiling...I really wish the door was tall enough to drive it in with it on...maybe we'll build a shed for the summer months to park in!!

Here are a few photos from the camera...
I hope you all get to do this trip someday, in case you haven't already!!
I've been fortunate enough to do it 9 times now (in cars, trucks, small airplanes and motorcycles) and am already looking forward to the next time!!

My girlfriend loves border crossing signs and anything depicting the world's largest, so there may be a few of those here...

We're also thinking about naming the truck Waldo, since every photo seems like a "Where's Waldo" search!!

One of my favorites...The silent, but swift justice for speeders in the Yukon Territory...The Rover was clocked at an extremely high rate of speed!!

If any of you are ever in the Birmingam, AL area and want to talk Defenders or need to get some work done, get with Stephen at Adventure Motorcars and Brad at Duffy's Garage, and they'll hook you up! We got the truck from Stephen and he was an incredibly stand up guy to deal with...Of all the vehicles you should probably never buy sight unseen, these are the ones, and this one was exactly as Stephen had described and discussed with us!!

Brad prepped the vehicle for the trip, and it got us here without a hitch...Even though it already had 107k on the clock, and we put 4900 continual miles on it!!

This is an awesome forum and I'm really glad we ran across it a while back while we were just beginning to look at Defenders!!

You need to do it some day!!

I've seen quite a few 90's also and a few older series, but no 110's either...

I have spoken with someone who has an older 110 and were going to get together and say hi soon!! Sounds like he's going to be a wealth of knowledge!!

Hi Sonny,
Great pics! I love the Grizzly pics. You showed us why some of us live up north! As you can say real defender Country.
ps Nice house. I don't think the defender will fit in your garage

Did you drove this road to Alaska?
