The idea is to sell instantly, just toying with money making schemes you see!

I would also advise contacting Uncle Doug here on the forum and engage his import services. The thing is timing should be a concern as CBP has been known to keep these trucks at the port for a very long time.

even more reason to scour the rest of europe and find an LHD......to sell an RHD "instantly" you will more than likely lose money....

Buy low, sell high.

The question for you is can you find a 90 or 110 at a low enough price to make a profit after all costs? I hope we don't need to explain that your research needs to find selling prices, not asking prices.

I currently own an '86 MoD 90 LHD, soft top with the 2.5 NA. My wife and I love it but it will be hard to break even if we decide to sell.

We also have an '88 110 station wagon with a transplanted 300Tdi. But, it will be hard to sell because it's RHD. By the way, my wife and I love this one too!

Good luck if you try to bring one over to sell. For what it's worth, I think there is a growing market in the U.S. for selling quality Defenders at reasonable prices.

Mike

At least I'm funny I suppose, I'll take that haha. I'm working on the naive part. I might not bother in the end, but its exactly why I'm asking around and doing my research.
