Added value of a 4.6 swap

What would you say a new 4.6 short block, redone heads, performance cam, 4.2 chip etc. installed would add to the value of a 94 D90 with 113k? How about an 84 110 V8 with 140k? How about a 95 RRC with 143k?

Not sure what you are asking...but, how about a 97 RR 4.6 with 121135 miles, and a bunch of goodies to boot.

Ron,
I think the 4.6 and all the goodies probably costs more than the value that it would add to any of the vehicles. It depends on the buyer and what that person values. I'd say it would add the most value to the D90. If it were me, I'd put the 4.6 in the D90 and take the 3.9 out of the D90 and put it into the 110. I definitely would not put it into the RRC...values on those and D1's have tanked recently and the 4.6 probably cost more than you could get for the RRC these days no matter what engine is under the bonnet.

But you'll be able to recoup 5-10 dollars by selling the 3.5 v8 from Janey to someone who wants to build a Marcos Manta, so factor that into your figuring!

:-)

I have all the stuff for the swap so the cost is sunk. Just can't make up my mind where it goes. Probably wait for one to throw a rod.
